Reuniting with old friends and meeting some new ones!

Dr. Andrew and Dr. Nicole recently returned from a trip to Memphis, Tennessee, where they visited their alma mater, Southern College of Optometry, for Homecoming weekend!

While they had plenty of fun activities planned with their family—their kids especially loved watching the famous ducks walk the red carpet at the Peabody Hotel and feeding giraffes at the Memphis Zoo—Dr. Nicole also made time for continuing education.
 

She attended courses covering dry eye, glaucoma, and retinal surgery, gaining valuable knowledge to bring back to the practice.
 

Of course, one of the highlights of Homecoming was reconnecting with classmates and catching up with fellow alumni. It was a wonderful weekend filled with family, friends, and learning.

So, what’s next for the doctors?
 

At the end of October, Dr. Andrew will head to Cleveland, Ohio, for the Vision by Design meeting hosted by the American Academy of Orthokeratology & Myopia Control. He’ll be attending courses focused on ortho-k (overnight retainers) as well as other myopia management options, including low-dose atropine, Stellest lenses, and soft contact lenses.
 

Dr. Andrew always comes home from Vision by Design with new insights and knowledge that help him provide the best possible myopia management care to his patients—and we’re excited to see what he learns this year!
